Mike Carter, who founded and built The Business Experts brand in Noble Park, is leading this next chapter as Director of Blackfox Financial Group. The name is changing, but the reason we started this business hasn’t — helping small businesses and individuals get accounting and financial advice that’s clear, practical, and actually useful.
With Blackfox, we’re sharpening our focus and raising the bar. Our core areas of expertise are:
- High-end accounting for small business — tax, structuring, and year-round advisory, not just an annual tax return
- Superannuation and SMSF administration — compliance, annual returns, and strategic advice as super rules continue to evolve
This isn’t a case of a new name for the sake of it. It’s a deliberate move to build a firm that can offer a deeper, more specialised level of service than before.

- All your historical files and records are being transferred across to Blackfox Financial Group as part of the move

- Your ATO lodgment history, prior returns, and records carry over with you
You don’t need to do anything. We’ve handled the transition so you can keep focusing on your business.
Raising the Bar, Not Just Changing the Sign
Because here’s the thing — we’re not just rebadging the business, we’re investing in making it better. Under the Blackfox name, we’re upgrading our systems, expanding our advisory capability, and building out services (including some technology we’re particularly excited about) so that our clients get more value, faster answers, and a more proactive relationship with our team — not just a firm that shows up once a year at tax time.
